The list below are the advantages of using FloodCoat White ™ to make interior mounted window signs.
While FloodCoat White ™ is a great product with some wonderful advantages, it does not work in all applications. When deciding to purchase a roll of FloodCoat White ™ please consider the following:
FloodCoat White™ is a very unique product that when used with the right combination of equipment, materials and application, can save you money, time, and effort.
| Since FloodCoat White™ is designed for interior mounted window graphics, there is no need to put an over-laminate to protect your graphic from the harmful elements of the outdoors. |
Another great advantage of interior mounted window graphics is that people can not vandalize your precious prints. The graphics won't be touched, peeled up, or even marked on. This alone can keep your graphics installed for a long long period of time. |
This is a huge advantage that can save on average 6 minutes per job, no matter the size. Imagine being able to print & cut all in a single step so that you can send your next job through the printer. After printing/plotting you can immediately go laminate afterward. With FloodCoat White™, Contra Vision® TT™ and FrogSkin54™ you can do just that! |
Installing graphics indoors has some nice advantages for you 'the installer' as well. Wouldn't you rather spend 20+ minutes inside where it is 72°F or would you rather have your winter coat on and no gloves? Enough said about that one! |
| Installing graphics has never been easier when using FloodCoat White™. What do you do when a job comes in asking you to put up window graphics over the highway oasis/overpass or a high-rise? Do you put up a ladder or truck? Do you outsource the job? Do you turn it down? With FloodCoat White™ you can do it in your shop and take all the profits. No ladders or cranes needed either! |
FloodCoat White™ and our other thermal coatings don't stick to the laminator rollers. Our coatings are designed to stick to the vinyl surface only. This is important when comparing it to the complexities of vinyl laminates. With these products, you only need one size which would work with all the different media widths around your shop. When using a vinyl laminate, you must always consider the width because when laminating, the vinyl laminate must always be narrower than the printed media. |
| With the availability of our FloodCoat White™, most window applications can be done in-house without upgrading your printer. Save the money for a hot-laminator instead, and you can use our FrogSkin54™, Contra Vision® TT™, or future products that will save you time, money and effort. |
| FloodCoat White™ is a dry white coating that is transferred from a film carrier. It is a heat-activated ink and never turns to liquid. Our ink is instantly dry and cured in minutes, not days. With FloodCoat White™ and our other thermal coatings, you never need drying racks. |
Our thermal coatings are a sensible and clean option to screen printing. They transfer in a dry process with no harmful fumes. When comparing this alternative to screen printing, you won't need screens or the space consuming equipment either.
FloodCoat White is also faster than screenprinting because you don't need to make a screen specific for your print and you don't need to do much setup. You can add a white backing as fast as you can laminate (or faster since setup is twice as fast). |
| When you are sending your fresh print through your laminator it may come out curled, but the curl goes away instantly once the liner is pulled off the print. This advantage makes installation and transport easy. |
| A 100 yard roll of our thermal coatings weigh less than 30lbs, which you can't say for vinyl alternatives. The construction of our products does not contain any adhesive, so it is very simple to setup on the laminator. Our thermal coatings also are a 1-ply construction in which the liner doesn't get peeled up until post laminating. |
FloodCoat White™ more affordable than screen-printing white or even laminating a white viny as a backer. It is also competitive to exterior mounted see-through graphics. Visit our Online Store to see the pricing. |
Check you local sign laws for validation, but you may not have to get sign permits for interior applied window signs versus outdoor applied window signs. |
| FloodCoat White is roll-coated with an evenly consistent true white coating that is not able to be seen through. When comparing it to a white printing inkjet printer's ink, which is spotty, gray, and not as opaque; it is by far a better product that will make your prints vibrant and beautiful. |
| To achieve a good, consistent coating, it is essential that the instructions and settings are carefully followed and that suitable equipment is used. Recommended top roll temperature needs to be heated to 250°F. The laminator needs to be well maintained with a constant temperature across the roller and no damage to the top or bottom roller coatings. |
| FloodCoat White™ coats common 'full solvent', 'mild solvent', and 'eco-sol' inkjet printing ink. It is not currently compatable with UV cured inks or aqueous inks. |
| FloodCoat White™ was designed to transfer onto clear vinyl or clear static cling. ZeroNine offers clear static cling with a clear liner for previewing the graphic before installation. We recommend using our supplied material. Order it from our Online Store! |
| Since this product is designed for interior mounted window graphics, it is not ideal for tinted window applications. If the window is tinted, the graphic would appear much darker since the viewer would have to see through the tint first. |
